Panama Transport Information

Taxis

In Panama City fares are based on a zoning system. A driver must show his zoned map of the city if you challenge his charge. Regular taxis charge you around $2.00 depending on how many zones you are crossing. Between Tocumen Airport and Panama City (Aprox. 45 minutes drive, depending on traffic) The taxi fare to or from the airport is around $25.00 if you want the car to yourself, ask at your Hotel Desk for recommended drivers.

Buses

There are buses to all parts of the country from the Grand Terminal Bus Station in Albrook. You can even take a bus to San Jose, Costa Rica; and from there, to any country in Central America. Ask for further information at the front desk. For local city Buses called Metro Bus you need a rechargeable card to pay the fairs, they are available at some super markets, best ask your hotel desk for details.

Domestic Flights

There are flights from Panama City to many parts of the country, like Contadora, David, Colon, Bocas del Toro, Changuinola, Puerto Armuelles, Chitré, La Palma, El Real, Jaqué, Garachiné, Sambú, San Blas and others.

Most major Car rental Companies are present in Panama, some of them even might have their offices in front of our hotel.
