Beaches in Chiriqui, Panama
Chiriqui is known for its highland and places like Boquete and Volcan, but it has also some beautiful spots along its coast line, the local like the beaches near the city of David, like las Olas beach resort and Barqueta beach to the west and to the east along the highway the Las Lajas Beach.
Barqueta Beach
Barqueta beach is only about 30 minutes from David, it features the Hotel Las Olas Beach Resort and its long mostly black sandy beaches invite you for a relaxing stay, as on any beach be aware of some strong ocean currents and ask locals where and when its save to swim!

Las Lajas Beach Chiriqui Panama
Las Lajas Beach is about 60Km east of David, its a ten miles long beach that sit between two major river of Chiriqui; Rio San Felix and Rio San Juan. You can find there many small hotels that invite you for a relaxing time and to enjoy the good surf of the beach.
Boca Brava

Located in Panama’s Golfo de Chiriquí Boca Brava island is within Parque Nacional Marino Golfo de Chiriquí, a national marine park that covers 14,740 hectares and protects 25 islands and 19 coral reefs. There some hiking trails to the beaches and some accommodations can be found on the island.
