La ciudad se trasladó con todas sus órdenes religiosas, sus calles, avenidas y hasta sus plazas. De 1673 a 1910 la ciudad amurallada sufrió una gran cantidad de transformaciones y la introducción de muchos estilos arquitectónicos europeos. Podemos apreciar una gama de tendencias arquitectónicas: francesas, italianas y españolas. La italiana se plasma a través de El Palacio Municipal y El Teatro Nacional por ejemplo. La Presidencia de la República que era la Casa de la Marina cuyo estilo Español es bien marcado y con su patio interior estilo Morisco con una fuente en su centro donde se exhibían las garzas blancas que le han dado el nombre de Palacio De Las Garzas.

The city moved all of its centers, streets and everything following the attacks on Old Panama. From 1673 to 1910 the walled city suffered a great deal of transformations and the introduction of several european architectural styles from the 19th and early 20th century, of which the most widespread is the neoclassic. We can see a great deal of architectural tendencies: french, italian and spanish. The italian is found in the Municipal Palace, the National Theater, the Palacio de Gobierno y Justicia and the Supreme Court building (which has now been transformed to the National Culture Institute). The Presidency is clearly set in Spanish style.
